George Blackmon
George Clifford Blackmon is the owner operator of a several new business ventures. He leads an innovative employee benefits consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Employee Benefits Consulting Services, Inc. (www.ebconsultingservices.com) which was founded in 2005 with Mr. Blackmon as its founder.

While managing several large local and national accounts at Independence Blue Cross, George Clifford Blackmon was responsible for sales and retention of large, local and national Union or "Taft Hartley or Health & Welfare Funds". Independence Blue Cross is Delaware Valley largest regional health insurer. In addition, Mr. Blackmon also handled day-to-day labor union responsibility for various collectively bargained contracts such as the Pennsylvania State Education Association and other organization such as the United Auto Workers that negotiate contracts for companies such as Boeing Corporation.

It is with great confidence that the newly created “Urban Suburban Film Festival” will rely on this dedication to excellence that was consistently exhibited while at Independence Blue Cross and to the business and labor community over the years. In his new role, Mr. Blackmon will be responsible for creating business opportunities and for developing a more expansive role in the region for the festival especially where the additional exposure can help foster a more positive image for the neighborhood and the university that will hosting the event for the next several year. Mr. Blackmon will be responsible for creating community partnership and alliances for “Urban Suburban Film Festival”. It is the role of this entity to provide for a more expansive role within the community in order to provide a different vehicle of giving back to the community.

In this role, Mr. Blackmon will act as the Chief Marketing Executive and will be primarily responsible for creating business opportunities for “Urban Suburban Film Festival” and for developing a more expansive role in the region for “Urban Suburban Film Festival” especially where it brings value to any of its valued business partners. Mr. Blackmon believes that an excellent reputation is established by exhibiting professionalism and that giving back to the community is an obligation.

Mr. Blackmon, originally of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of Temple University. Mr. Blackmon earned his Criminal Justice degree while attending Temple University. Mr. Blackmon is also a member of the international fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Incorporated.
