Andrew Harmon
Andrew
has established himself as one of Philadelphia’s emerging
filmmakers. Raised in Philadelphia, Andrew dreamed and
envisioned of becoming a fimmaker, when he was in the 9th
grade, taking an American Cinema class. He attended Temple
University’s School of Communications and Theater, as a
student in the department of Film & Media Arts.
He has worked on several independent projects in capacities
of an Asst. Director, Asst. Cameraman, Gaffer, and Grip, in
New York, Philadelphia, and the surrounding areas. In
November 2007 Andrew wrote, directed, and produced a short
film in Jersey City, called “Full Circle”. Less than three
months later, Andrew began directing a promotional film for
the Philadelphia Film Office, along with a small team of
aspiring crew members. During that time Andrew became part
of the the Greater Philadelphia Film Office’s “Tri –Pod
Initiative”. This program connects professionals with
students & emerging filmmakers, to work together on a year
round, on-going basis. Andrew has also worked as a freelance
cameraman for the Philadelphia Eagles, and press logger for
NFL films, during the 2003-2004 season.
He is currently working on several projects in various
stages of development, while commuting to New York each
week, to shoot commercials, internet shows, and music
videos, at BravoMedia’s NYC green screen sound stage studio.
Andrew
also completed Audition Technique Classes, at the Wilma
Theater, on the University of Arts in Philadelphia. Since
2006, he has been a member of the Film Connections Inc., in
New York City.
